With Workshop AD since 2005, Dan is instrumental to the firm’s practice and the productive relationships we’ve formed with our clients, communities, consultants, and builders. He is a licensed architect in Washington State. Dan pursues an analytical approach to the process of design and construction. Through systematic methods of craft and fabrication, he is focused on economical, adaptive, and responsive architectural solutions across a broad range of project types and scales.
A native of Edmonton, Canada, Dan earned an Architectural Technology Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. He then received a B.Arch professional degree from the University of Oregon. In 2013 he was an urban housing studio visiting instructor at the Washington State University School of Design and Construction. A regular design critic and juror for various schools in the Pacific Northwest, Dan maintains and values academic engagement. In addition, he has been active in the Seattle community as a volunteer coach with the Seattle Junior and Sno-King hockey associations. Dan lives in North Seattle with his wife and three children.
