As an Army brat, Dave grew up in diverse locations, but spent his formative years outside Baltimore, Maryland, where he developed an appreciation for architecture during frequent trips to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City.  After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, Dave received a Master of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, where he was also active with Architecture for Humanity. Prior to joining Workshop AD in 2015, Dave worked in an award-winning San Francisco studio with a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and arts based projects. In addition to architecture, he is interested in photography, industrial and graphic design, and all things outdoors. Dave lives in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood with his wife and young daughter.
