Dan Rusler

With Workshop AD since 2005, Dan Rusler is a licensed architect in Washington State. He is instrumental to the firm’s practice and the productive relationships formed with our clients, communities, consultants, and contractors. Through exploration of sculptural form making, Dan pursues an analytical approach to design and construction. He finds delight in patterning, iterative repetition, environmental connection, material and light. He is focused on systematic methods of craft and fabrication to produce economical, adaptive, and responsive architectural solutions across a broad range of project types and scales.
A native of Edmonton, Canada, Dan earned an Architectural Technology Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. He then received a B.Arch professional degree from the University of Oregon. In 2013 he was an urban housing studio visiting instructor at the Washington State University School of Design and Construction. As a design critic and juror for various schools in the Pacific Northwest, Dan maintains and values academic engagement. He currently serves on the Seattle Northeast Design Review Board. In addition, he is active in the Seattle community as a volunteer coach with the Seattle Junior Hockey Association. Dan lives in Northwest Seattle with his wife and three children.
